New Year’s questions

Instead of writing up a storm, doing explanations and giving examples. Today I am just going to cut the bull and ask questions.

How many of you are guilty of being the hypocrite at church on New Year’s Eve night?

How many of you gave New Year’s wishes using the word “God” in it just to polish it off?

When are you going to realize that New Year’s day is just a day that happens to be a bank holiday with no religious significance attached to it and that everyday is one and the same?

New years day is the biggest anti-climax of the year.

    Welcome Kagedbird.
    is that a good thing?

  • kagedbird  On January 29, 2009 at 3:15 pm

Well, it probably isn’t a good thing for most of us. We live our lives for milestones and events. Christmas, Carnival, New Years day etc. Most of time its doesn’t live up to expectations. I went to England in Dec ’99 to bring in the new millennium and it was the most boring, depressing New Years day ever! The build up was more dramatic. Computers were suppose to stop working and the end of the world should have occurred. Instead absolutely nothing happened.
It was good in that the world survived I suppose.
I don’t really get excited about any Grand Event anymore

It is good to know that you don’t fuss about major events. I think that ppl worry and bother about the wrong things such as those annual events that you have mentioned above.
Come to think of it I get excited for the things that concern my family and friends. Very seldom I make a fuss about events pertaining to me.
